The lip area offers a wide range, from single piercings such as labret, Medusa, Monroe and Madonna to multiple combinations like snake bites, angel bites, shark bites and the legendary T-Rex bites. Because of the risk of contact with the gums and tooth enamel, bioplast jewellery is often recommended here — see piercing materials.
For placements that contact the inside of the mouth, using an antiseptic mouthwash during the first week and avoiding yeasted foods will speed up healing.
