The ear is the most popular piercing area and offers by far the widest variety. The lobe heals fastest and is the least painful option. Cartilage placements — tragus, helix, conch, rook, snug, daith — take longer to heal and are somewhat more sensitive. Two-point placements such as industrial and transverse lobe need a little more care than single piercings.
