Unlike a conventional piercing, a dermal piercing has no entry and exit hole. Instead, an anchor implant is set into the skin at a single point. The opening is made with a single-use punch, and once the implant is in place the gem or ball of your choice is fitted on top.
In areas that move or rub frequently, bioplast options can make healing easier. Given the risk of keloid formation, we recommend reading about bumps and keloids.
